ChatGPT in One Day
Chapter 1. Getting started·Exercise 02

One-page meeting summary, in three minutes

Paste raw notes (or a transcript) and turn them into a structured summary.

Right after a meeting — while your head is clear — paste your notes and let the AI structure them.

1. Get your input ready

Collect your notes into a single block. An auto-transcript also works. About 1,000 characters (one screen) runs the fastest.

2. Paste this prompt

Use the prompt below as-is. Replace --- meeting notes --- with your text.

You are a meeting-notes assistant.
Restructure the notes below into:

- Decisions (bulleted)
- Next actions (owner · due date)
- Open questions (phrased as questions)

Keep the original tone. Do not infer. Do not add anything that isn't in the notes.

--- meeting notes ---
(paste your notes here)

3. One quick review

Read what came back once. Delete anything paraphrased or invented. That single review is what turns AI-drafted notes into something usable.

Apply it elsewhere

The same loop works for executive briefs and team weeklies — just swap out the structure items.
